Do You Feel the Holy Spirit?

Uncategorized Aug 08, 2018
Do you feel the presence of Holy Spirit  lingering in the room when you worship?  Do you sense Him urging you forward as you ponder your destiny? Are you actually pondering your destiny? I encourage you to do that this week. It is so important that we realize that our King is among us.  I can sense His presence clearly.

During a corporate prayer time on a Friday night in early spring, the Lord gave me a line from a Misty Edwards song which says, "I can feel the rhythm of the lion of the tribe of Judah." As we sang that I could see the lion roaming in our midst. I sensed that same lion in prayer on the following Thursday. I believe the Lord is wanting to make His presence known among us.

Here are some more of the lyrics of that song, "I can hear the rhythm of the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  He's doing a new thing, so we're singing a new song. He's not a baby in a manger anymore. He's not a broken man on a cross. He didn't stay in the grave. And He's not staying in heaven forever!"  (“People Get Ready – Misty Edwards" Lyrics by onething Live from the album onething '09 live)

According to Psalm 24, we are the Gatekeepers and as Gatekeepers we are called to open up our gates so that the King of Glory can come in. I encourage you to open up your gates this week.

Another song lyric which buzzes periodically through my mind is this one, "the shout of the king is among us!” It comes from the song “The Shout of the King,” by Hillsong Music written by Ned Davies in 2002.

Here is the key language of that song, "I give You praise for You deserve it. I give You praise for what You've done. I give You praise for You are able. I'll give You praise 'til I overcome. I give You praise when the sun is shining. I give You praise in the dark of night. I give You praise when the battle rages. I give You praise 'til it works out right."

The language is emphasizing perseverance. I will choose to praise Him until I overcome and until it all works together for my good. That is the promise of Romans 8:28 for one who loves God and who is called according to His purpose.

If you are not sensing His presence in a greater measure this week, I encourage you to press in until you do.  Press Him until you overcome.  He is here and the shout of the King is among us.  Let's choose to press deeper into Him.
